From the 2nd of April the Czech Government had been increasing regulations of the citizens’ movements, incl. travels by the foreigners, because of the Covid-19. Therefore the Horice Sculpture Symposium Committee decided to change this year’s activities to 1. 7. - 25. 7. 2021, to safeguard yours and ours health.

The present situation does not guarantee a safe and trouble-free course of the Symposium, especially the organisation of travelling, accommodation and catering of foreign sculptors, incl. a quarantine, as well as the difficult but necessary ordering and transport of the stones of the desired sizes. Moreover, the sculpting, cultural and social activities would not be as trouble free as we are all used to.

The list of applicants interested in Sculpture Symposium of Horice 2020

Symposium Date: Thursday July 01, 2021 until Sunday July 25, 2021.

June 30, 2021 – Arrival of symposium participants.
July 01, 2021 – Opening ceremony of the symposium at Horice Town Hall. During the symposium, cultural events, trips or excursions will be arranged for, if the sculptors will be interested in such events.
July 23, 2021 – End of works.
July 24, 2021 – Sculptures will be transported from Horice to Hradec Kralove and installed here.
July 25, 2021 – First night ceremony on Sculptor’s Embankment in Hradec Kralove.
July 26, 2021 – Final day, departure of symposium members.
